Autism Home Safety Starter Kit

The Autism Home Safety Starter Kit equips families and providers with the basic knowledge and tools needed to enhance home and community safety for children with autism. It provides a process tailored to the unique safety needs and challenges of children with autism we call the Fusion Formula.

Commonwealth Autism Services’ Fusion Formula is the only program that looks at safety from a global perspective. Our system uses the individual’s needs, short- and long-term interventions, and collaboration to develop a comprehensive plan. In this course, you will learn the importance and impact of each part to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism.

Autism Home Safety Resource Specialist Certification

The Autism Home Safety Certification Course dives deep into the knowledge you need to enhance home and community safety.  

There is no simple solution to safety concerns for individuals with autism. To make a permanent impact, home safety needs to be addressed through a comprehensive plan. Our Certification course provides an in-depth look at a process tailored to the unique safety needs and challenges of individuals with autism using our Fusion Formula.

Autism Home Safety: Emergency Binder

Even with the best efforts, emergencies can happen. When disaster strikes, an emergency binder is an essential tool every household needs. This binder is a collection of important information, planning tools and documents readily available in case of an emergency. 

For families with children with autism, additional planning is essential. Would the child respond to first responders if they call their name? Does the child try to leave the home alone? The emergency binder should take these situations into consideration. Preparedness is key. 

This course is designed to teach families and professionals how to compile crucial documents for quick and accessible resource.
